From Mrs. Clough:
Hello everybody! Back at it and we're half way through the week.  I was gone yesterday at a meeting with all of the other 2nd grade teachers, so again it was nice to be back with the kids!

Today one of our highlights was during social studies.  We reviewed city, state, country, continent, planet and then the kids created their own little craft and visual to practice and review the concepts.  I still hear the occasional, "Our town is Iowa!" "Our country is Marion". :)  But, I think we are getting there!

In math we are learning different strategies to add 3 or more numbers (under 10).  We will continue to practice with this on Thursday and there may be a game involving a calculator as well, so stay tuned for that!

Thursday is America Reads day, so we have some guests coming to read to our class which should be a lot of fun, I will get pictures to post!
